Knowing the secret in http vs https
http (HyperText Transfer Protocol) that will send everything you do in plan text for any one to read. That is what most websites are running most of the time. However, everything is sent "in the clear"; any info sent over HTTP can be eavesdropped; while
https (HyperText Transfer Protocol over Secure Sockets Layer) encrypts everything you do so that no one else can read what you type except the recipients. It encrypts end-to end all of your communications, making them safe for sensitive data and prevents man-in-the-middle attacks.
To understand this as well, take Yahoo for instance, with encrypting data that you can't just encrypt it and say only yahoo enable to read it. Both party of you and yahoo need to have a so call secret key so that in order yahoo can decrypt what you have sent and encrypt those private stuffs for you to read.
A accomplised by an encryption scheme known as public key. Yahoo puts out a public key so that everyone can encrypt stuff that only yahoo can read its like a one way key: you can package stuff up and send it to yahoo so that they can read it with their private key but some one with a public key cant see what you encrypted.
So you package up a key for yahoo to use to talk to you and you are all set.
WHY ALL internet communication isn't done like this is because of what is known as the man in the middle attack, and its solution.
It's quite simply to pretend to be yahoo.com if you know what you doing. so I pretend to be yahoo and all traffic you think is going to yahoo comes to me. you ask me for my public key I respond back with an fake public private key pair that I made then I ask yahoo for there public key and everything you to I do I just watch for anything interesting like Credit cards etc, an you are non the wiser.
We solved this problem by using what is called a certificate authority. A CA is some one who you pay to vouch for you; Verisign and GoDaddy are the biggest. So every time you make a https connection to amazon you go to a CA and they come back with amazons public key. And every thing is hunky doory. With the exception that this slowed you down considerable yahoo.com has to pay a CA bill every month, and joesmoh.com has to go through a lot of rigormarol to set all this up. Eventually it would make everything run slower in addition more expensive plus more complicated to use exclusively in https.
Suggestion to use, for anything that are sensitive (email logins, banking sessions, etc), HTTPS is the preferred and proper choice. However, for unimportant stuff (forums, simple browsing), HTTPS is not needed. Most pages are served over HTTP because they don't require the security of HTTPs (remember- you have to pay for a certificate, which is expensive), and install it. Also, it puts load on the server- the server has to individually encrypt everything before it sends it, and decrypt any data you send it. So if a website was all HTTPS it would require more powerful hardware to accommodate the same number of users.

Creating new ideas
Let’s think about this, imagine during those school days when you were in chemistry class. You had all chemical in liquid and powder form that may hold atoms floating around and what happened if collided and burnt. The result is “Boom”! That was chemical reaction. Maybe something new was generated or explosion you might encounter. Or it might also nothing happen.
Well, same idea applies inside your head. Except that instead of atoms, they are broken pieces of information or ideas are floating around your brain. While they are drifting and meeting each other, they occasionally may bump into one another. When that consequence happens, you may possibly generate some new ideas or it may sometimes absolutely nothing to show.
If you have lots of atoms (small ideas or information), generally you are going to get more and lots of reaction. Of course some may fail; some will be just so-so or up to the border line. But you may not expect that there may some are really great and fantastic. For further reading, just click on the title link above.

Right Usage of Grid System in Graphic Design
Is there any limitation with using grids? Basically you are allowed to use as many grids as you like provided there is necessity, no maximum number restriction to the grid layouts that can be allocated. Generally types include equally sized of two, three, four and six-column grids with a header across the top or footer across the bottom. You can work on full-page grid of squares as well that built up numbers of blocks. With the variation of column widths, borders, page size and other features of the grid will help you to design a unique page layout. To remember fully utilize the grid system effectively in the way to help positioning those elements whether text or images of your design on the page while executing a project.

Two most important color models
Full color printing has become popular nowadays. With today’s technology it's sometimes impossible to tell which photos are the original and which were printed copy. Survey has shown that the use of color increases the rate of reading and retention in advertising and various publications. The most important two types of common color model basically you have to know about: the RGB color model and the CMYK color model. We'll also touch on an up-and-coming model: the six-color model.
RGB Color
White light contains all the wavelengths of visible light and has three primary colors. RGB are referred to red, green and blue. RGB colors are known as additive primaries because the lights of these colors produce white light when they are combined. You can combine the RGB colors in various ways: more red and blue with less green equals purple; more red and green with less blue equals purple; for example. These combination of colors are the idea behind full color.
Humans basically see color in three layers, and the eyes combine these layers to give our brain the colors we perceive.
CMYK Color
CMYK color model works totally opposite from RGB color model, in that instead of additive colors, this color model works on the principle of subtractive colors, because the inks subtract brightness from white. In RGB, white is created from combining all the colors, and black is the absence of color. In CMYK, it's the opposite - black is the created from combining colors and white is the absence of color.
This is the most common type of printing most printers use and it's typically known as four-color printing. The four ink colors used to create a spectrum of colors are cyan, magenta, yellow and black. A mistake that is often made when submitting artwork to printers is not converting the images to the CMYK color space. This conversion is needed so that a separate printing plate can be made for each color. For more info on color space, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_space.

Adobe Creative Suite 4 - Should You Upgrade to CS4?
Adobe has released a new version of Creative Suite 4, providing a substantial upgrade to both Photoshop CS and Illustrator CS that takes full advantage of 64-bit computing power. The new versions also provide a series of intelligent features that vastly improve image editing capability.
64-bit Creative Suite
Since both Apple Macintosh OSX and Microsoft Windows Vista utilize true 64-bit processing, the new version of CS4 is optimized to leverage the improved performance from those environments. Users with over 4GB RAM and an upgraded video card will see vast speed improvements when working with large and high resolution images. Not only is rendering faster, but you can work with more layers and more images simultaneously without slowdown.
Creative Suite Online
The new release also marks a step forward with the artificial intelligence in CS4 - the new system is designed to optimize photo editing with improved focus, depth and resolution optimization. In our test, we found that many images which originally came out as unusable were transformed into relatively clear pictures using this feature set. Even better, the new Online feature Kuhler (Cooler) allows you to share, collaborate and review other artists work, along with downloading public use textures, patterns and colors to enhance your photos.
In sum, Adobe has done an impressive job with the new CS4 that makes it a strong buy for photographers, graphic designers and hobbyists alike - if you're running OSX or Vista on a newer machine and often use Photo Shop or Illustrator, then Creative Suite Four is a must buy for your collection.

Illustrator tips to share..
Here's a shortcut to show and hide the bounding box (Command-Shift-B; PC: Control-Shift-B). The bounding box is a great way to resize objects without switching to the Scale tool. But do sometimes the bounding box is very distracting, so the option to toggle on/off is quite a useful tip.
Locking/Unlocking Guides
By default, all guides that you add to a document are auto-locked. To unlocking all the guides in one quick step, press Mac: Command-Option-; or PC: Control-Alt-;. To works opposite: Once you've unlocked all the guides, use the same shortcut to lock all guides.
Quick way to delete from the palette
To delete anything from a palette, without getting a dialog like this example asking you to confirm your choice, hold down the Mac: Option key or PC: Alt key as you click on the palette's Trash icon. This applies to brushes, swatches, layers, etc.
Timing is a key factor
One of the important principles of using keyboard modifiers is that the same key will have different effects, depending on when you use it. For example, with the Direct Selection tool (A) active, holding down the Option key (PC: Alt key; MAC: Option key) will select the entire path. If you don't let go of the Option key while you drag and move, you'll get duplicate. So, to move a path without duplicating it, hold the Option key while pressing and click to select the path, release the Alt/Option key before dragging the path and move.
Switching palette's view
Most of the Illustrator palettes have more than one display size, reason for users to save more working space without closing palettes. Multiple sizes in some cases. You can use a palette's flyout menu to choose Show Options or Hide Options, or just to double-click on the tab at the top of each palette. To see if a palette has multiple sizes, just keep double-clicking on the tab to switch among the views size.
Photoshop tips to share...
To reduce start-up time -There are several ways help to launch Photoshop more quickly.
1) Disabling unnecessary plug-in folder by adding tilde(~) in front of plug-in folder.
2) Relocated plug-ins to secondary folder (easier to be done in Mac OS platform). Then, to load back plug-ins, just hold down Ctrl+Shift (Windows), Cmd+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after you launch Photoshop and then specify the additional plug-ins folder when asked.
3) Preferences dialog are saved each time you exit and launch Photoshop. The file sometimes are saved may become corrupted. If that happens, just hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows), Cmd+Opt+Shift (Mac OS), a split second after you launch Photoshop and choose to delete the Preferences when prompted.
4) Layers,Channels and Paths palettes all store thumbnails by default, these thumbnails are continually updated as you work on the image. A way improve the redraw time, you can customize the palette previews size to smaller one by clicking at Palette Options from the palette’s menu choose the smallest on none in size.
5) As we know, in the computer processor basically work as brain, and RAM more likely as heart. All the software in our computer, from the operating system to applications are relied heavily on how much RAM in order to improve the efficiency and speed. To allocate higher RAM in Photoshop, go to Preferences/Memory & Image Cache and specify a percentage (%) in the Memory Usage section of the dialog box.
InDesign tips to share...
Express duplicationThe easiest way to swap the Color Modes
Holding down the Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) key to drag and
duplicate objects that you may properly know. This powerful Option/
Alt key can perform the same duplication function during other
operations as well, such as, you can hold down the Option/Alt
key as you choose Flip Horizontal from the Control palette menu,
then InDesign will duplicate and then flip the selected frame. Or by
placing the cursor in the X/Y field of the Control palette and change
the value folow by pressing Option/Alt-Enter and InDesign moves a
duplicate of the object to the new location.
To locate missing fonts and to replace
Usually missing fonts will be highlighted in pink with substituted
fonts as indication when documents are opened. To search for
missing fonts and to replace it in the documents entirely, just go
to type menu/find font...then select those uninstalled fonts and
replace with your installed fonts available in your system, then just
click on the "Change All" follow by "Done" buttons.
To swap any of RGB, CMYK, LAB Color mode from the palette,
just hold-Shift and clicking on the color spectrum bar.
If there is gamut warning (the yellow triangle with
exclamation mark), then just to click on the symbol to
force to get to closest color in-gamut.
Find out Color Values
Using eyedropper tool to let you view the exact color used by
clicking on any spot in psd, .tif, or .jpg file.
Rotate Tools Palette
Rotating and elongate the Tools palette in order to
fit to your screen size and maximize the space to suit
your working style. For example, a longer, narrower
Tools palette is good when your screen is small.
To rotate the palette, it can reside at the bottom right
of the screen, where there's usually little action.
Change the orientation in the Preferences dialog box
of interface tab or by double-clicking on the tab of the
Tools palette
Apply Swatches to Frames and Tables
You can easily apply a swatch to any frame or stroke
by just to drag any swatch from the Swatches palette and
dropping it in a frame or on a stroke and tables, even
able apply to any table cell or cell border.
Control Palette Navigation
When using Control Palette, you can choose to dock the
Control Palette at the top, bottom or as a floating palette
of your screen. To jump easily to the first field in the
Control palette, just to press Command/Ctrl-6.
From the first field, use Shift-Tab to highlight the setting
box and with the arrow keys to highlight a specific setting
and press the Enter key to select.
